Thanks Dr.!

6 Apr

The £100 medical didn’t turn out to be so bad after all.

The wonderful doctor at Globe Town Practice, whose anonymity I shall protect, was really contrite about the whole situation. After a thorough check of liver, spleen, hernia (!) and some sound advice on smoking and drinking (don’t do it and do less of it respectively) he asked me about English for Action. He said there was nothing he could do about the practice’s charges but donated £40 out of his own wallet to help the cause. It was one of those great moments that reaffirms the faith!

Thank you so much, doctor, for your generosity.

Thanks also to the Davies doctors, Graham and Barbara, who also donated yesterday. Hooray for the NHS! ESOL for healthcare lessons coming up……..

We are nearly there! Who wants to tip us over the £2000 mark?
